FAFSA Application for fasfa, fafsa loans, free fasfa web, fafsa form
THE FAFSA is a Free Application for Federal Student Aid Online.

You apply for a Federal Stafford , PLUS or private student loan even if you have not yet completed the FAFSA. Many students and parents prefer to do so as there is a limited amount of money the government budgets for the federal stafford loan and private student loan companies limit the total amount they will lend.

If you have already completed the FAFSA process, and are still in need of funds for college, try the new Private student loans. They cover all college living expenses, including tuition, room and board, a computer, travel.

How do I apply for FEDERAL Financial Aid?

Apply for a Stafford or PLUS Loan. Complete the FAFSA. It will take 7 days to process your form and send you what is called a SAR (Student Aid Report) once we have received all required signatures. Your SAR will summarize the data you reported on your FASFA application. Check this information very carefully to make sure it is accurate. Also, keep a copy of your SAR and note your Data Release Number (DRN) in the bottom left hand corner of the first page; you will need your DRN if you decide to apply to additional schools.

What type of FEDERAL financial aid will I qualify for when filling out the FAFSA application?
1. Federal Stafford Loans
2. Federal PLUS loans

Federal Stafford Loans are are available to both undergraduate and graduate students. If your school participates in the Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program, this means the federal government actually provides the funds for your Stafford Loan. It does not mean the are the lender. You are able to choose. In the past colleges have steered students toward one lender. Thus we now have a student loan scandal.

If you qualify for a subsidized Stafford loan, which is based on need, the government pays the interest on your loan while you are in school, during grace periods and during any deferment periods. You are responsible for paying all of the interest that accrues on unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans. .
